Where are we going wrong?

For years, cardiovascular risk has often been assessed using risk scores developed outside Malaysia. Our local research shows these models do not always reflect Malaysian risk accurately.

A better way to detect risk earlier

At SkyHealth, we use local data and machine learning to improve cardiovascular risk detection, support earlier intervention, and help reduce the burden of preventable heart attacks.

Heart attacks are hitting Malaysians too young.

In Malaysia, around 25% of acute coronary syndrome patients are below 50, and national registry data show Malaysians present with ACS at a mean age of 58.5 years. Malaysia also carries the highest age-standardised cardiovascular disease prevalence in ASEAN.

Traditional risk scores were not built for Malaysians. Our research using local data shows they can miss risk in our population.
